Good to know

Clear expectations make better stays.

Availability, current pricing, detailed house rules and booking terms are shown on Airbnb.

Is Dunmallet self-catering?

Yes. We provide complimentary starter supplies of tea, instant coffee, coffee pods, milk, toilet rolls and basic kitchen essentials to help you settle in. These are starter supplies rather than unlimited provisions.

Are logs and charcoal provided?

A complimentary starter supply of logs, kindling and charcoal is provided. Guests planning several hot-tub sessions, fires or barbecues should buy additional fuel locally.

How does the hot tub work?

The hot tub is wood-fired and covered. It takes time and fuel to heat, so it is part of the experience rather than an instant electric spa. Full instructions are provided before arrival.

Can we walk into Pooley Bridge?

Yes. The village's pubs, restaurants, cafés, shops and Ullswater ‘Steamers’ pier are all within an easy walk.

Is Dunmallet suitable for outdoor groups?

It works well for walkers, runners, swimmers and event supporters, but it remains a residential holiday cottage. Guests should respect neighbours, the river environment and quiet evening hours.

Where do we book?

Availability, pricing, payment and guest communication are currently handled securely through Airbnb.
