Good to know
Yes. Dunmallet is a fully self-catering holiday cottage. We provide a complimentary starter supply of tea, instant coffee, coffee pods, milk, toilet rolls and basic kitchen essentials to help you settle in. These are starter supplies rather than unlimited provisions, and the village shops are close by for top-ups.
A complimentary starter supply of logs, kindling and charcoal is provided. Guests planning several hot-tub sessions, fires or barbecues should buy additional fuel locally during their stay.
The hot tub is wood-fired and covered. It takes time and fuel to heat, so it is part of the experience rather than an instant electric spa. Full instructions are provided before arrival.
Yes. The village's pubs, restaurants, cafés, shops and Ullswater ‘Steamers’ pier are all within an easy walk.
It works well for walkers, runners, swimmers and event supporters, but it remains a residential holiday cottage. Guests should respect neighbours, the river environment and quiet evening hours.
